When I view on mobile I see two text sizes, with no apparent reason why.

You can see some have been visited and some not, so I don't think this is a design choice. I checked other SE sites and it is the same.

If I had my pick, I prefer the bigger text to be the default.

I'm using a Samsung S8 with Chrome.

  • If this should be on mse, a migration is fine with me, or I'll repost. – fredsbend Dec 15 '18 at 8:41
  • That's likely the annoying feature from Mobile Chrome that tries to guess the appropriate font size. It should only do that on non-responsive sites, but who knows how that works exactly. – Mad Scientist Dec 15 '18 at 12:48
  • @mad In Samsung Internet, an app I've never used, I cannot reproduce the problem. I'm only a hobbyist level web developer, so I can't say I know the issue with chrome you mention, but there's usually a fix for strange issues like this, in my experience. I still wonder if this issue is unique to me. Can anyone reproduce it? – fredsbend Dec 15 '18 at 21:30
